When PRINCE2 certification was launched in 1989, it superseded PROMPT within Government projects. PRINCE remains in the public domain and copyright is retained by the Crown. PRINCE2 was published in 1996, having been contributed to by a consortium of some 150 European organizations.
Organizations may run many similar projects again and again, but there will always be some aspect of the project that will be different from what they have done before. So you can see there will always be some aspect that is different from what we have done previously.
